Worry does not empty tomorrow of its troubles. It empties today of it’s strengths.
MISSION PROJECT: Our mission project for April, May, and June will be the Midwife kits. Items needed are listed below.
ITEMS NEEDED TO MAKE MIDWIFE KITS: One 36” square muslin or sheeting (no hemming necessary), one regular size bath towel, one wash cloth, two cordties-8” lengths of selvage or ¼” twill tape, one bath– size bar of Ivory soap, one razor blade (single edge, safety, as from home
improvement store), one newborn stocking cap, one baby, cotton or flannel, short-sleeved shirt/kimono, one receiving blanket, one pair
plastic or latex exam gloves — clean, not sterile, not kitchen gloves.
Check with your doctor or dentist. The items can be placed in the baskets by the WELCA board in the narthex.
Bible Study: Our April meeting will be May 18th. The lesson will be Session 8 “A One-way Street”. Peace Circle will be on cookie detail.
UPDATE ON COOKIES FOR SHUTINS: A huge thanks to all of you gals who
helped baked, packed, and delivered cookies. I have heard some great feed-back.
All members traveling to Sisseton for the Spring Gathering be at the church by 8 a.m. to car-pool.
BOARD MEETING will be Sunday, April 25th between services. I am extending an invitation for Circle Chairmen to attend as we will be finalizing plans for the Spring Tea.
