GOOD NEWS BEARERS
February 3rd is an early release day at Koch school which means it is
time for Good News Bearers! All 3rd-5th graders who would like to learn a Bible story while acting out a Drama play are invited to join in on the fun. Kids will be able to ride the WOW buses after school. Please do not send your child if he/she is 2nd
grade or younger due to the fact that we will not have enough volunteers to entertain them.

FEBRUARY YOUTH NIGHTS
MS Youth Night: Sat., Feb. 20th, 5-10 p.m.
HS Youth Night: Sun., Feb. 21st, 6-9p.m

LENTEN SUPPERS
Lenten Suppers begin on February 17th. All youth from grades 7-12 are
going to be getting letters home about this event. It is our annual
Lent celebration of taking over the Wednesday evening meals. All the information that parents and youth will need should be in the letters
that you’ll get, but if anybody has any questions, please ask!
Why we do Lenten Suppers: This is a great event for the youth of our
church to take evangelism into their own hands and make a difference in our church.

ACQUIRE THE FIRE
Acquire the Fire is a 27 hour youth festival with bands, speakers, and a ton of fellowship! From Feb. 26-28, a few High School youth from our church will join Central United Methodist Church on a trip to Des Moines for this awesome event. The youth who will attend will be very fortunate to discover how to live a “real life” with God and how to experience an active way to shape their futures. Also, Joel
Johnson is the guest speaker, and he has been preaching since the age of 14! Please pray for our group while we are gone so we can get to Des Moines and back safely, and also be sure to pray that the youth will have a great time.

CASH CHALLENGE TO RAISE DONATIONS FOR HAITI
As we have all heard about, the earthquake that shook Haiti on
January 12th was a major emergency for the poor nation. In this sort
of emergency, Haiti desperately needs money in order to provide the help they need. With our church efforts, the youth of our church are going to work hard to raise money for Haiti by competing in a Cash
Challenge! All youth are encouraged to bring in dollars and loose change for their age group in order to raise the most. We will have 3 age groups competing: Preschool + Elementary versus Middle School versus High School. This competition will go on for a few weeks, and the amount of cash brought in for each age group will be posted outside of the Youth Room. Thank you in advance to all youth and families that will be competing to get emergency money to Haiti.
