Worship onWednesday (WOW) is about to kick off another year of ministry to pre-school and elementary aged children! WOW offers kids a fun environment after school onWednesdays in many ways! The kids can take part in socializing with other kids during Circle of Friends time which is our snack time. After that, kids are split up into Ministry stations that can be anything from Service Projects and Quilting to Drama and Jr. Bells. There is also classroom education hour when kids will be able to study the Bible using our Hands on Bible curriculum. The lessons have proved to be interactive and full of energy so learning is made fun! In addition to all that, the kids are also offered music time so they can worship God with their music as well. Once again this year for the first 5 weeks of WOW, we are taking part in Operation Christmas Child. The kids 3rd-5th grade will
be putting together Christmas presents for children around the world. We use shoe boxes as the container of the presents, and inside the boxes there are toys (age and gender appropriate), hygiene products,
flashlights with batteries, some candy items, and an insert with the Word of God to teach these children about Jesus. These inserts are placed in the boxes at the packing/shipping centers here in the US. The WOW program needs your help with making Operation Christmas Child a success! Here is how you can help:
• Money donations are needed to ship the boxes overseas. It takes $7 per box, and with 50 kids making boxes, we need donations of $350. We can make this happen, but it takes us all!
• We need many other donations such as shoe boxes, wrapping paper for the shoe boxes (we’ll take anything you’ve got!), and the supplies that can go in the shoe boxes that were listed above.
• If you are not able to donate any money or gift donations, we can certainly use your prayers. Please pray for the kids packing the boxes, the people shipping off the boxes, the postal carriers overseas, and the children who are receiving these gifts.
Deadline for donations: Wednesday, November 4th
