Thrivent Financial Matches Contributions to Haiti Aid
: THRIVENT FINANCIAL MEMBERS INVITED TO JOIN HELPING HAITI EFFORT
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who want to make a
financial contribution to support disaster response efforts in Haiti can have their donations to one of four Lutheran relief agencies multiplied by the fraternal benefit society. To participate, visit
www.thrivent.com/helpinghaiti and make a contribution to one of the following:
Lutheran World Relief
ELCA Disaster Response
LCMS World Relief/Human Care
WELS Committee on Relief
Thrivent Financial will add $1 to every $2 its members donate, up to a total Thrivent Financial contribution of $1 million. That means a potential of $3 million or more to support relief efforts: $2 million + from its members and $1 million added by Thrivent Financial. Community Bible Study
: COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY
Visitor’s night will be held Feb. 1st from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at American
Lutheran Church. Women, Men and High School Students of all denominations are invited to attend CBS on our study of Genesis.
February 1st we will be studying the ways God reaches out to Jacob and the children of Jacob.

To: American Lutheran Church
Thank you for your overwhelming support on our mission trip to Haiti. The medications and gifts of financial support were greatly appreciated and put to immediate use. We had the privilege of caring for Haitian people of all ages. Many of their illnesses are a result of poverty and were things that we do not commonly see in Milbank.
We could feel God’s healing touch and your prayers as we worked throughout the week. Please continue to remember this country in your prayers.

Teachers Needed for Sunday School and WOW
: WANTED: Teachers for SS and WOW
Teachers for all areas of youth education are needed as we gear up for Sunday School and WOW. If you are interested in teaching
Preschool, Elementary or Middle School age groups, please contact Mike
Haddican or a member of the Youth and Education committee. As a congregation, we need to work together at raising and teaching the youth of our church. It takes many motivated volunteers to do this, but we know that the Holy Spirit willlead our hearts. |
